Khazayan is a curated house dedicated to art, artefacts, cultural objects and exceptional expressions of craftsmanship.

Based in Dubai, at the crossroads of cultures and continents, Khazayan looks beyond geography in its search for objects of distinction.

Our collection spans historical works of art, calligraphy and antiquities alongside exquisite examples of traditional craftsmanship preserved through generations.

From the courts of the Islamic empires of Mughals, Persians and Ottomans to the rich artistic traditions of Asia, the Middle East, Europe and elsewhere, we seek works that reveal something enduring about the cultures that created them.

Some carry the imprint of imperial traditions.

Some speak to the spiritual world of Sufi culture.

Some preserve techniques handed down through generations of artisans.

Others simply possess that rare combination of artistry, character and provenance that makes them worthy of serious collection.

Khazayan brings these diverse expressions together under one philosophy:

To discover, preserve and place exceptional objects within the care of those who understand their significance.

Our collection will continue to evolve, with new traditions, materials, cultures and forms of craftsmanship being added over time.

The geography may expand.

The collection may evolve.

But the principle will remain unchanged:

We collect not merely for possession, but for continuity.

Manifesto

THE KHAZAYAN MANIFESTO

Objects That Remember.

History is not preserved only in books.

It lives in the objects people made, cherished, carried, worshipped, displayed and passed from one generation to another.

A painting remembers a hand.

A piece of calligraphy remembers a thought.

A carved object remembers a craft.

A textile remembers a tradition.

An imperial artefact remembers a world that once was.

And sometimes, a seemingly modest object carries within it a story far greater than its form suggests.

These are the objects that interest us.

At Khazayan, we believe that collecting is more than the acquisition of beautiful things.

It is an act of recognition.
To recognise the hand of an exceptional artisan.
To recognise the significance of a forgotten tradition.
To recognise the beauty of an artistic language shaped centuries ago.
To recognise, before it disappears, something that deserves to endure.

Our collection travels across cultures and centuries — through the artistic traditions of the Islamic world, the courts of the Mughals, Persians and Ottomans, the spiritual traditions of Sufism, the refinement of imperial cultures, and the remarkable handicraft traditions of Asia, the Middle East, Europe and beyond.

We are equally drawn to the enduring art of craftsmanship — wood, camel bone, brass, bronze, glass, textiles and other materials transformed by generations of skilled hands.

Because craftsmanship is itself a form of history.

A technique passed from master to apprentice is not merely a method of making.

It is knowledge made tangible.

Khazayan exists to discover such objects, to preserve their stories and to place them with collectors who understand that ownership can also be stewardship.

We do not believe that the finest collection is necessarily the largest.

It is the one in which every object has a reason to be there.

Every piece should possess something beyond ornament.
A story.
A lineage.
A memory.
A mastery of craft.
A sense of place.
A connection to another time.

And sometimes, something impossible to catalogue — that rare presence which makes an object speak without words.

We call these Objects That Remember.

And we believe their stories should not end with us.

They should continue.
